Wisconsin filmmaker Marc Kornblatt spent months traveling around the country—starting and ending in his home state—speaking with people during the 2016 presidential primaries. He interviewed dozens of people, some he met on the street, others at political party offices and at bars. While the primary elections serve as a backdrop, the film is not about politics, it’s about people from diverse backgrounds and what matters to them in their own lives, which presents an intimate portrait of American.
