City officials will push previously announced leaf pickup dates back one week to allow more leaves to fall in Wausau neighborhoods.

Don’t rake those leaves into Wausau streets just yet. City leaf pickup is delayed by one week.
Pickup was to begin Monday, Oct. 24 but instead will begin Oct. 31, according to a news release issued this week.
In the meantime, residents can dispose of their own leaves at the city’s yard waste site, 105 E. Chellis Street.
City officials are asking residents not to rake leaves into the gutter until the weekend before collection.
If collection progresses faster than anticipated, areas will be checked again on the scheduled date. Any questions? Call the Department of Public Works at 715-261-6960.
