Marathon County Sheriff’s deputies Monday seized nearly two dozen animals from a home in the town of Hull.
Deputies received complaints about the residence, on Chokecherry Road in the town of Hull in western Marathon County. Deputies and animal control officers pulled 22 dogs and one cat from the residence after discovering probable cause that they were neglected and that the dogs were exhibiting potentially dangerous behavior, according to Sheriff’s Office officials.
Deputies and animal control officers plan to return Tuesday to attempt to capture three more dogs and three more cats they were unable to get on Monday.
Animals captured were reviewed by a veterinarian before being taken to a shelter. The investigation is ongoing, officials say. As of this morning, no arrests related to the investigation appeared on the daily jail log.
