AHS recognizes Monk Botanical Gardens

The American Hosta Society, a non-profit organization formed to foster and promote knowledge and interest in the genus of plants also known as plantain lilies, recognized Monk Botanical Gardens’ Master Gardeners’ Shade and Hosta Garden as an official AHS Display Garden with a plaque and a dedication ceremony on July 10.

This designation has been a goal since the garden was first proposed, according to the North Central Master Gardeners.

As part of the dedication, Monk Botanical Gardens will be featured in an upcoming issue of The Hosta Journal, a free, full-color magazine printed by AHS for its members twice a year.
