City seeking new HR director

The city of Wausau will be looking for a new human resources director. 

HR Director James Henderson resigned, according to a copy of the resignation letter received by City Pages. 

Henderson’s departure follows Liz Brodek’s from the Community Development Director position. Brodek resigned her post to take a new job earlier this year. 

The city council last week had an agenda item to recruit for a new HR director but neither committee had taken it up, so the council didn’t yet act on it.

According to the letter, Henderson's last day will be Jan. 10.
