The Wausau Festival of Arts, part of Wausau’s annual Artrageous Weekend, has been the biggest art show in Central Wisconsin since it got its start in 1965, and when we say big, we mean big. On top of a showcase of over 100 artists from around the country and more mediums than you can count on two hands, there’s free live music on stage all weekend, a family tent to work on art projects with the family, a silent auction and more. Outdoor Market Saturday 9/6 | Grand Ave Artifactory, Wausau
The Artrageous Weekend festivities don’t end there. As part of the celebrations, Grand Ave Artifactory is hosting an outdoor market featuring antique, vintage and upcycled goods, as well as baked goods and other local items. 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Birds in Art 50 Opening Day Saturday 9/6 | Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum
Birds in Art got its start as part of Artrageous Weekend, and this year, it’s turning 50. Woodson Art Museum is celebrating with an exhibition showcasing over 100 new works and the return of 41 Master Wildlife Artists whose work was showcased as a part of Birds in Art in the past. Art World 2025 Sat. – Sun. 9/6–9/7 | Marathon Park, Wausau
Art World is an absolutely massive art market that spans three whole buildings every year. Get your fill of arts, crafts and gifts, with hundreds of vendors to browse, chat with and buy from. People come out from all over the place to participate in this market, so join in the fun! Art World is 39 years old and still going strong. Free admission. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Prevent Falls Resource Fair

Next week, the Central Wisconsin ADRC is offering two fall-prevention resource events across the region, and one of them will be held right here in Wausau.
