The woman accused of beating Cindy Schulz-Juedes to death in prison last year will undergo a mental health examination, according to court records.
Taylor Sanchez, 29, will undergo an evaluation after pleading not guilty by reason of insanity to first degree homicide charges related to the death of Schulz-Juedes in July 2023 while in custody at Taycheedah Correctional Facility in Fond du Lac County.
Schulz-Juedes was sentenced to prison in 2021 after being convicted in the 2006 murder of her husband, Ken Juedes. She maintained her innocence since the murder.
Sanchez when interviewed after Schulz-Juedes’ death said she thought Schulz-Juedes had stolen her toothbrush and used it to scrub their toilet.
A jury trial, should the case get that far, is scheduled to begin in July.
Sanchez is currently being held on a $1 million cash bond, according to Fond du Lac County Court records.
