Two kittens were spotted stuck in trees at Paff Woods Nature Preserve this weekend.
On Sept. 7, Lacey Matson posted two images of the kittens to Facebook, accompanying a post that read, “Is anyone missing their kittens? We just got done walking through the Paff Woods Nature Preserve and we noticed these two kittens in trees as we were getting ready to leave. An officer is coming to get them.”
Matson told City Pages that her party called the Wausau Police Department’s non-emergency number to help them retrieve the kittens but that they left before they were able to see if the retrieval of both kittens was successful.
She said that the Community Services Officer sent by the police department suspected that the kittens were dumped.
