Designed to promote dairy farmers and educate your average joe about the dairy industry as a whole, dairy breakfasts have become a staple across Wisconsin every June. This year, Marathon County’s June Dairy Breakfast will be hosted by NorthCentral Technical College at its Agriculture Center of Excellence on Sunday, June 7.
The Agriculture Center of Excellence is located on Hwy. K in Maine, but parking is not available onsite. Visitors can park at the NTC Wausau Campus and take the free shuttle to the farm.
Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, pancakes with real maple syrup, sausage patties, cheese curds, milk and coffee and — a part of every balanced dairy month breakfast — ice cream.
Tour the farm, meet this year’s Alice in Dairyland and set the kids loose in the kids’ activity area from 8 a.m. to noon. Adult admission is $10; children ages 6-11 are $5; children five and under are free. For more information, visit marathonppa.org/events/june-dairy-breakfast.php.
