The Wausau Police Department is seeking help from the public in finding the suspect in a convenience store robbery last week.

Police say a man entered the Mobil Fast Fuel Mart on East Wausau Avenue shortly before 9:15 pm Tuesday, asking a couple of questions about cigars and then asking to buy cigarettes.

While the clerk was ringing up the sale, police say, the man showed a gun in his waistband and demanded cash. He then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the police report.

The man at the time of the robbery was wearing a black Nike hoodie, a black hat, a camouflage facemask and black sweatpants. He had foam rubber Crocs-like sandals.

He was last seen running north on 8th Street in the direction of Augusta Avenue.
