Wausau High Schooler paints mural at recruiting station

A Wausau West High School graduate is being honored for dedicating her time to create a mural at the naval recruiting station in Wausau.

Kate Saari recently completed the 8”x 8” mural, which depicts an aircraft ready to take off from a carrier.

"Kate's exemplary performance and dedication to her craft in creating a mural at the recruiting station is a work of art and a marvel for all that enter the station," said Great Lakes Naval TAG Commanding Officer Erik Rolfs, who recognized Saari for her work.
