Wausau comes to SYFY

Posted

A supernatural thriller series called Revival has debuted on the SYFY channel, with the setting of the show taking place in Wausau.

Revival is based on Wausau-area native Tim Seeley’s comic book series with the same name. It follows the story of the dead suddenly rising from their graves while a detective sets off to determine the cause. At the same time, the detective is trying to solve the mystery of her sister’s death. The comic book was nominated for three Harvey Awards back in 2013.

“It was a lot of work leading up to the filming of the show,” said Seeley. “I tried to make it as authentic and honest to living in Central Wisconsin as I could, while inserting some supernatural elements.”

While the story is set in Central Wisconsin, the show will mostly be filmed in Saint John, Canada.

The series includes 10 episodes, with the first episode already debuting on June 12. New episodes will be on the SYFY channel every Thursday and will stream on the SYFY app. Every episode will be available to stream on Peacock one week after it airs.
