Wings Over Wausau wrapped up another year of aerial acts in the skies of Wausau this weekend, with two days of stunts, aerial maneuvers and fireworks.
While weather conditions meant that organizers couldn’t show off all of the planes they initially planned to, they were able to alter programming so that they could still provide audiences with the sky-high entertainment they came to see.
The event was held at the Wausau Downtown Airport from June 27–28 and featured static aircraft displays, military exhibits and demonstrations from all service branches and Veteran Services, remote-controlled aircraft showcases, kids’ activities including bounce houses and a petting zoo, an armada of food trucks and live music from Curious Crow, Brady Ukert and Hip Pocket. Each night also ended with an airshow and fireworks.
This year’s Wings Over Wausau event was organized by Wausau Events in partnership with Brickner’s of Wausau and CoVantage Credit Union.
