Wish I Was an Angel

Posted

Dear Reader,

Sometimes I wish I was an angel—able to do all good things, bring out the best in people, and lift their spirits.

Imagine waking each day with a single purpose: to help, to heal, to inspire. Angels, in their divine simplicity, seem to exist for no other reason than to spread light and love.

But perhaps being an angel isn’t so far out of reach for any of us. What if we looked at our own lives and asked how we might bring a little more kindness into the world?

Couldn’t we all be angels on earth in some small way?

It doesn’t take much. A smile shared with a stranger, a listening ear for someone struggling, a word of encouragement when someone falters. Sometimes, it’s just showing up when someone needs you—no fanfare, no grand gestures. These simple acts of compassion can remind others of their worth and potential, gently nudging them toward their better selves.

We’ve all met someone who, for a fleeting moment, made us feel like life wasn’t so heavy. A teacher, a neighbor, a friend, or even a stranger who held the door with a kind word or saw something in us we hadn’t seen in ourselves. Those
people are the angels among us, and we can be that for someone else too.

So, let’s make today wonderful—not by chasing perfection but by spreading a little hope, lending a helping hand, or simply being present. In these small, quiet ways, we can bring heaven a little closer to earth.

Who knows? Maybe that’s what angels really are—the best versions of us, shining through.
