Wausau Antique Show
Sat-Sun, 3/23-24 | D.C. Everest Sr. High School Fieldhouse, Weston

Antiques are the objects of previous generations that hold significance for us today. Furniture, ceramics, jewelry, textiles and much more – these items can be a wonderful addition to your home while also holding historical significance. So the Wausau Antique Show is a great event for those looking for an extra piece of furniture as much as for an amateur historian who wants to examine historical objects. The show will feature fifty different booths, each with their own offerings. Come to dig through the physical material of history and perhaps take home a piece of the past. Sat. 9-5, Sun. 10-3. The Driftless Revelers
Saturday, 3/23 | Malarkey’s Pub, Wausau

driftless revelers

Based in Eau Claire, the Driftless Revelers are a three-piece band that has an irreverent take on American roots music that is firmly in the Midwest tradition. The band’s bio references early American folk music, Ween, Tenacious D, and the Holy Modal Rounders, but to this writer they just as easily conjure the comic novelties of Upper Peninsula legends Da Yoopers. The Driftless Revelers have performed extensively across the Midwest and released their debut album American Fork Standards in 2022. All fans of the stranger and funnier currents of the American folk tradition should enjoy the Driftless Revelers. 8 pm. malarkeyspub.com

Tune Tots
Sunday, 3/24 | Timekeeper Distillery, Wausau

Christopher Ashburn Tune Tots

Profiled in last week’s issue, Tune Tots is the project of Christopher Ashburn – a longtime musician who got into children’s entertainment because he and his wife were looking for activities for their child. Ashburn, who performs as Mr. Tempo, leads children through an interactive concert experience that encourages movement and participation. The show is best for children from 3 months to five years old, and the focus is to inspire interest in music at an early age. This specific event is Easter-themed and will include an Easter egg hunt. Food will be available for sale as well. 11 am-1 pm. $10, plus $9 optional bagged lunch. Tune-tots.com
