DNR shares tips for hunters this summer

Posted

Wisconsin’s DNR recently shared some helpful tips for hunters during the summer offseason. The DNR says that successful hunters should be using this time to plan and practice for the next hunting season.

While preparing, consider checking hunting equipment to make sure that it is safe and tuned. Along with prepping equipment it is also a good idea to stay in shape. Hunting involves physical demands with carrying gear over terrain and climbing trees. Staying in shape can help to keep the volume down when traveling through the woods, as to not scare any game away.

The DNR would like to remind everyone that there are about three months left until the next hunting season. During that time it is possible to stay active in the hunting community by volunteering at a conservation or hunting organization.
