The Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force announced a huge meth and cocaine bust in Marathon County last week.
The task force, which partnered with Marshfield Police Department, seized 5.75 pounds of methamphetamines and a kilogram of cocaine in addition to $44,000 in cash and two firearms. Those came as a result of two search warrants the task force executed in Marathon County.
The task force is made up of officers from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, the Wausau Police Department, the FBI, the Wisconsin State Patrol and other area police agencies. They partner to investigate larger drug crimes and work to keep drugs off the streets.
