When the Briq’s RiverLife location closed this season, it turns out that was for good.
Wausau leaders announced last week that Briq’s, an ice cream shop with locations throughout Wausau and central Wisconsin, would not be renewing its lease for the location. Briq’s first opened in RiverLife, the city’s flagship development area, in 2019 after the city completed the park project. It’s located near the park’s playground area.
The ice cream shop opened seasonally in the building owned by the city. It was a popular ice cream stop for people along the riverfront.
In a press release, Wausau officials said they would be putting out requests for other vendors who might want to operate in the location.
